Southern Yankee is a handmade children's clothing line created and designed by Wilton resident Jennifer Aldinger Angerame. The clothing is handmade items made with vintage linens and other up-cycled fabrics. Mens' dress shirts and ties seem to be very popular. Southern Yankee creates all sorts of new things with old things!
Why the name Southern Yankee? Jennifer was borna and raised in Texas and married a Yankee. Southern Yankee has been featured in numerous magazines and was a Wildcard Finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made contest. Sizes range from 3-6 months to a size 6.
The most recent ranking of the nation’s high schools published by U.S. News & World Report distinguished Connecticut with 11 gold medal schools, 24 silver medal schools, and 4 bronze medal schools. Of the top 10 best high schools listed, half were in the 26th district. Weston, Ridgefield, Wilton, Joel Barlow, Darien, New Canaan, and Staples High School were recognized.
